David Turrent

David Turrent studied at Manchester University and qualified as an architect in 1974. He worked in local government and private practice before becoming a founding partner of ECD in 1980. His expertise lies in the design of sustainable buildings and he has extensive experience in the residential, education, arts and leisure sectors.
David is a CABE Enabler, Building for Life Assessor and a member of the RIBA Sustainable Futures Committee. He has been responsible for numerous award winning regeneration schemes, and is co-editor of two books: Housing and Sustainability Principles and Practice (1998) and Sustainable Architecture (2007). His longstanding contribution to sustainable design was acknowledged by Building Magazine in July 2008 when he was named as one of just four architects considered to be leaders in the field of sustainability.
