Retrofit & Replicate project
ECDA, Keegans and PPCR are all working with The Hyde Group to start an innovative new project, refurbishing a void property with eco measures with the aim of reducing its carbon emissions by 80 per cent. The new project, dubbed Retrofit & Replicate, is in line with a national shift in the housing sector s focus from new build, as it aims to address the huge challenge of reducing CO2 emissions through the retrofitting of existing housing stock.
Open House at ECD
ECD participated in this years’ Open House Green Sky Studios event on 25 and 26 September. The event launched a brand new two-year campaign developed by Open House to support and promote sustainability as an integral part of design excellence. Open House (www.londonopenhouse.org) is an architecture education charity committed to raising the standard of London’s built environment.
