The Coopers Road Estate Regeneration is published in the ASC Awards for Sustainable Communities 2007 booklet as a finalist in the Well Designed and Well Built category.
'The development of a previously troubled estate has been extremely successful in providing sustainable regeneration using low environmental impact design. Working with the local communities to arrive at decisions has inspired a real sense of community and security. Great attention was given to energy conservation using combined heat and power (CHP), with the average heat loss being 16% better than building regulation targets.'
