Mark Elton, Associate Director & Head of Sustainability at ECD Architects, is to speak at the AJ Renewables Conference 2008.
Focusing on the approaches to incorporating renewable energy into the built environment and is geared toward architects, developers, house builders, local authority planners & environmental officers, contractors, building services engineers, low carbon consultants and environmental consultants.
Using various ECD projects as case studies, Mark’s talk focuses on incorporating renewables into residential schemes under the following headings:
- employing passive solar design principles to reduce energy consumption
- considering appropriate renewable energy options in new build and refurbishment housing (both urban and rural)
- exploring the technical challenges of PV rainscreens and turbines on tower blocks.
