Sustainable High Rise in Hammersmith and Fulham |

ECD Architects have been appointed by London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the residents of the Edward Woods Estate to propose a sustainable refurbishment package for their 3 tower blocks close to the Holland Park Roundabout.
The buildings will be overclad to improve their thermal performance and external appearance, whilst the presently void internal areas at ground and top floors will be brought into use as flats, storage or community facilities.
Additional studies are being carried out to investigate the potential for generating 10% of the energy demand on site through photovoltaics or wind turbines, and for the potential to add additional floors to the existing structures.
Project Team: ECD Architects with DMP M&E Engineers, Carter Clack Structural Engineers, Currie and Brown Planning Supervisors, Jennifer Coe Landscape Architects and ESD Energy Consultants.
