Brief: A new Learning Resource Centre to form the hub of the Rivermead Campus
Sustainability Initiatives: daylighting, light shelves, stack effect ventilation, night cooling


This deep plan building providing library space, study areas, offices, media facilities, catering and exhibition space is organised around two central atria. Fresh air is introduced via grilles below windows and exhausted via high level vents in the atria. This strategy combined with good daylighting and low energy artificial lighting results in economic running costs.
