Sustainability Initiatives: passive solar design, sustainable urban drainage, locally sourced materials


The plan, for a major extension to the town of Bude, responds to topography, views and orientation. It creates a series of housing clusters served by Homezone streets and semi private courtyards. The design was developed in consultation with local residents and stakeholders and is being implemented by Guinness Trust and Midas Homes with architects Trewin Design Partnership.
